Ramadan

Sweet Ramadan. The ninth month of the Islamic year is upon us and its time to, according to Wikipedia, refrain from "Eating, smoking, drinking and sexual relationships during the day (for married couples)."
Also, during Ramadan, Muslims are also expected to refrain from indulging in violence, anger, envy, greed, lust and backbiting, and are meant to get along with each other better than normal.

It is a time for communal meals and good behavior.
This 4th pillar of Islam (of 5), called Siyam, is meant to help them get closer to God, feel the life of the poor a little bit, and learn a couple other things like respect and humility. Not bad I say.

I will be fasting, to what extent I do not yet know.

So last night I come home from campus (where the post was made) to my dark room and almost walk into two cases of beer sitting on a chair.
This is going to be tough.
Also, though against edicts, I allow myself two looks at a girl, since my vision is bad.

They are half-liter cans, too.
