slave to The Man
I'm back in the "cafe," a term I will use lightly for this place. It's quite interesting; third floor 0pen air area with several tables and... cats walking around. I'm not sure how they got here, but hey, they need lovin' too. The surrounding environment creates a bit of a wind tunnel effect here making it a bit on the chilly side, but its open more or less 24 hours and I dig that. Now I just need to get the subway kicking until 4ish.
Regardless, I'm back here working on my sessions for the weekend. I had my first iftar with an Egyptian family today, thanks to sara's cousins. They kept shoving food on my plate, resisting my insistence of thorough saturation. In any case it was good.. a bit sugary, but good.
Jenna notices differences in her chilean university experience and I do here as well. More on that later.
And lately, I've really been into Pink Floyd. I've only got The Wall, but damn, its good. It's taken me about 4 years to really give the album a chance, but its really kicking ass. That's what I like about Floyd; they make albums, not just some random group of songs they may or may not have written. Like Rush, they really mesh their songs together to make a nice, complete and flowing package. So easy listenable with a few gems spruced throughout. Sweet!

Nice to see that, living in Egypt, you've discovered old classic American music
