[corporations]

They are no longer, not even indirectly, an instrument of the societies they affect, but an instrument of the few who control the ever-increasing power and wealth they command. The purpose of wealth is to acquire power. The purpose of power is to protect wealth. The purpose of wealth and power combined is to acquire more wealth and power. The use of the commercial corporate form for the purpose of social good has become incidental.

One from Many
on how the purpose of corporations has changed.

I've seen about half the movie. The whole idea on corporation=human is very interesting.
The book is for my sustainable business class. Apparantly Grainger does in fact offer a few courses worth while, which explains why it's comprised largely of non-business students, most of which are already crunchy.

your posts are really getting more serious than I am used to...and you know business students are crazy when Katie considers me 'crunchy'...or maybe that's just Katie who's crazy.

We had a showing of "The Corporation" for our @ chapter in Austin. Insightful to say the least, even though the last half of the movie seemed to loose focus, fyi Mix.
